Total Posts: 1 | I got an error a while ago trying to put programs on my friend's TI-84+SE. It worked for a while, but then gave me an error (I don't remember it right now, and I will have to get my friend's calculator back to check again). I plugged in the calculator, it was recognized by the computer. I attempted to send the file, as usual, but when I clicked "Send", I heard the hardware disconnect tune and the reconnect tune (that's when I got my error). The error was probably caused by trying to put a file that said "#Include ti83.inc" or something like that. The reason I want to put the programs on my friends TI84+SE was because I wanted to be able to put the programs on my TI-83+. I have been searching for solutions on Google, including trying to edit and recompile the source; I just decided a forum would work better than doing even more searching.

Total Posts: 1111 | I don't know why you would have to assemble any source code... make sure that you're only trying to send .83*/84* files, and not any .asm or .z80 files (you shouldn't be able to make sense of the file in Notepad). If you're having that problem with the connection, try a different port or live with it, because it's just a problem that TI won't fix for you.

Total Posts: 171 | You could try a different linking cable. I have one that just will not work for some reason. If that is the case, you need to buy another one.

Total Posts: 67 | Before buying another cable. If there is no important/nonreplacable files on your friends calc, try resetting all the mem. This happend to me, and this fixed the problem.
reset mem:
1) "2nd" + "+"
2) "7"
3) Right arrow twice
4) Enter

Total Posts: 1111 | Sanman: Oh, I just realized what the problem is. Your program is assembled for the TI-83 (non-plus), which uses different addresses for system routines. The easiest thing to do would be to find an 83plus-compatible version, if one exists.
