This may be possibly a dead topic longer than I know, but I would like make Screen Capture images of my Mario levels. When I used the TIConnect program, it doesnt work when programs are executed. By the way, I used a TI 84+ SE, and thats all I have. So I tried to use calculator emulators such as VirtualTI butmits apparently obsolete for the TI 84 models.

What seemed like an easy task became a very complex one. I'm stumped now, so plz anybody recommend me a program that emulates the TI 84+ SE and/or takes screenshots of running programs. Thank you.

Can't help on the screenshots, but TilEm (for Windows and Linux) emulates the 84+SE.

You can also use the 83+ Flash debugger from education.ti.com, part of the 83+ SDK. It emulates the 83+ (poorly for games) and doesn't require you dump your own ROM.

The reason why TI Connect can take screenshots from the homescreen and not a program is because the silent link in the OS doesn't have control when a game is running. The silent link is what's responsible for communication during GetKey, which is what the OS is idling in when the cursor is sitting there blinking.

Actually, during Assembly Program execution, if you press [ON] + A number, it will save the screen to that picture. Then you can recall it and use TI-Connect to capture the saved screenshot. Not a very good way but better than nothing, and your best hope if all you have is TI-Connect.

That's a feature of MirageOS which lots of games unfortunately disable, because it requires interrupts.

Relax, guys. I tried it and it works on Wabbitemu. For the record, I tried Screen Capture for all programs just to be sure, before I find that Wabbitemu works. It wasn't just Mario that doesn't work. Also, I used Calcutil then Screen Capture and it still doesn't work. It's safe to say that Screen Capture does not work on executed programs unless you're using an emulator.
