I have two things, the first is pretty simple: What are the best* calculator games that are either rpgs or are close enough that you can't tell either way?

*best in this use considers RAM and ROM memory size, graphics, speed, and is it fun.

The second question I had is similar, so I combined these two into this one topic: What makes a calculator RPG game good? Other than the basics of size, graphics, and speed, what is it that makes some games classics? The reason I ask is because I have tried to make RPG games in the past and I always get a mental block on what to do.

Thanks for reading this (if you did) and please respond honestly and without fear of flames.... (NO FLAMING!!!!) --Mecha

care to expand any on those ideas? Like storyline, combat system, screen layout, and my personal favorite "Goodness".

And if you answer, please list the best rpgs for a TI 84+SE (or compatible)

Off Topic: nice picture, I couldn't draw the logs..... =( ok maybe I could, given the time....

Can't you look around some yourself? I'm a bit tired of answering obvious questions.

Just read the drawing until you have an idea. It makes it very clear.

In all honesty, it shouldn't be a difficult task to find awesome RPGs. On ticalc, most of the good things are either featured or have high ratings.

Reuben Quest, Desolate, Harvest Moon, Legend of Zelda, Marc the Superkid, stuff at Omnimaga, ect.

now thats what I'm talking about! And BTW I didn't just post the original message and go into a cave.... I asked because I have looked, I am looking, and I will continue looking. I looked for RPGs after I posted this topic, It's just that they're hard to find!

I'm glad that helped you, then. It's going to take a while if you want to beat each game to observe their elements, though.
