I used to program with my calculator a few years ago, but gave it up and now I am starting to get into it again. I remember that when I was programming before there was a program I was using on my computer to write the programs before I put them on my calculator, or to read them if they were already on there, but I do not remember what that program was. Could anybody help me find it again?

You're looking for Graph Link, though I've heard that there's better software for those purposes on ticalc.org.

Really? I've been wondering whether I should install the TIConnect beta that had the program editor on Windows. But if there's good stuff on ticalc.org I'm using that!

I don't use the Mac OS X TI Connect because it can't save in a format that Windows TI things read.

Actually, I was thinking of TIConnect v.1.5.X.X (I can't honestly remember those last two numbers) which had the program editor even on Windows.

That is what I use. I still had the program with the CD that came with my calculator. I wonder why the stoped putting it on there?

Beats me, but it also seems to have lost the icon identifying feature thing (you know, the one where Windows recognizes a .8xp file as a TIConnect Program). At least, it has for me. 1.6 sucks.

The icon problem is just Windows. I recall similar things happening when I meddled with Flash (Adobe).

Hmm...that explains it...I have a flash program installed...any idea how to correct it? (I don't have the proper authority at the moment to uninstall the program; my parents don't trust me to run my own computer, for some reason)

If so there are many ways around administrative control.

It is much easier to suggest solutions when you know nothing about the problem.

I'm listening... (gets out several recording devices including pencil and paper, voice recorder, video camera, webcam, FRAPS, computer, eyes and ears, and the two idiots behind me who are reading over my shoulder while I am typing this)

Having Flash installed will not mess up TI-Connect.

What I meant was that I installed multiple versions of Flash to get past the trial period, which messed with the icons for files with .fla and .swf (ect.) extensions.

Oh. I only used one Flash prog. Nevermind then.

Hey, wait, you only mean the flash icons were messed up? My icons never appeared at all, meaning I can't access advanced features like program locking/unlocking, but they appeared on 98.
