Goodbye to CalcGames.orgBarrett
I'll just paste what was said in the newsletter; some others thought that this should be posted as news.

Hey everyone, I'm somewhat busy right now so I'll make this short. First let me say that it has been a wonderful nearly three years working at CalcGames.org.

For those of you who don't know who I am and what I've been doing -- I have done a fair amount of back-end coding for the site, along with some calculator programming. I have been an administrator here ever since the site opened in March of 2002.

I will be spending the next two years in The Dominican Republic serving as a missionary for my church, and I will not be participating in CalcGames.org or the community in any way during that time. Don't worry, though; I am confident that the site will run smoothly while I am gone.

Considering that this site has been open for three years, and that it seems like yesterday when it was first opened, two years doesn't seem like very much time at all.

~I'll be back~

Yup, we'll miss you B. Hopefully everything will turn out well for you and we'll see you back in two years. Of course you'll write me a few letters from time to time so I can post some exerpts here as an update of how you're doing on your mission. You should also try not to forget how to proram...I should like send you quizzes or something to keep you in good condition as a programmer :). Anyway, (this is a bit of a cliche but oh well) best wishes to Elder Lance Berto!

Your Assignment for this MonthJayhawk
Barrett and I talked about the newsletter quite a bit before he left. He knows what I'm planning for this month. But he doesn't know what I'm posting here. Many of you here obviously never knew him beyond the name. But many others of us talked to him on AIM, IRC, or even regularly posted with him in the forum. As a tribute to his time and effort with this site and particularly for those who didn't really know him, I'm looking for what you remember of him such as stories and things like that. Post here, e-mail to redux@calcgames.org, or even somewhere in the forum. I'll go looking and I'll print whatever is posted in this month's newsletter.
