It seems to work fine. But you should put the name of the author at the beginning of the description (just under the line : Download, size, shell... etc), because i have to scroll the page to see it and i think the author name should always appear with the name of the program.

good point. we'll see what we can do about that... all it will take is a simple template change.

yeah, that's very easy to do. we'll do that. only thing is that what if there is more than one author? just putting the first author may not be a fair. though, we can only show author there if there's only one author for that particular file or maybe show a small picture which on mouse over will show authors. also, we're currently working on a seach and a new file upload system. so, lotsa goodies are coming! thanks for comment moitib, its very appreciated.

I have uploaded 3 of my TI-86 asm games. It seems that one upload (RBlade v4.1) failed (it didn't tell me : you file has been uploaded successfully...). Please tell me if there is a problem with the file.
Thanx.

yeah, it's not in our upload folder, so i guess it didn't upload. make sure filename doesn't have spaces in it because files don't get uploaded if they contain spaces in their filenames. we got two other games tower.zip and radialpong.zip, these are yours i believe. anyways, i'll add all of these to our size later today. tks for submitting files.

Is it just me, or is the 89 eBooks section empty? Also, if the file isn't uploaded because of spaces, why not have message saying it wasn't?

I like the new look on the site with the database working. I went and rated some of the tankers maps but when I try to rate some of the games It gave me an error about not being logged in. I logged out then in again but I still get the same "Forbidden" error.

oh no, new files don't get added right away. and yes, i forgot to add our old ebook section and will add it today or tomorrow. we got all the submitted ebooks. and yes, the files you submit must not have spaces in their filenames.

about that error, could you please tell me exactly on what game it happened. thanks.

sorry guys, i had to reset all ratings as i have found a very bad bug in the rating taking code which prevented it from recording ratings correctly. it seems to work correctly now.

Type in http://www.calcgames.org/ and wait for load. Select games section with the neato tab at the top, select 89, list with database feature comes up on side bar. Reload entire site. Select 89 Games from popular sections on side bar. Doesn't display with data base feature... ?

oh, that sidebar hasn't been updated yet.. we're gonna make the popular sections and recent files be automatically generated by counting dates and downloads.

It's nice to see some new files in the archives.
But when i submitted my 86 asm games, i put my website adress and in the descriptions it doesn't appear.
And another thing : How do you do for the screenshots ? Do you make them yourself ? Because i have already some screenshots of my games. Maybe you could allow users to upload screenshots with their files (like on ticalc.org).
Anyway, that's goog job.

yeah, i'm working on that. about 30-40% done already. it might take thru this week since i'm working a lot of time. anyways, we're getting stuff done and all the goodies are coming very soon! this new system requires me to almost completely rewrite our current uploader, so it takes some time.

so far, yes. wither include your screens with the file or just email us. sorry for the inconvenience. ;)

awesome, Z, one thing that's really weird... i just added Brix, and for some reason it doesn't show up in 'recent files'... you think it's possible that it just doesn't show the MOST recent file?

i've been working on menu.cgi... i can't exactly get it to work... right now, tron SHOULD show up as the very first recent file (i changed the modified date to just now) but it doesn't. when you have time, can you look at it? (btw, it HAS to sort by modified time; trust me)

aight, recent files works now... it displays at least the 10 most recent files, but if any more than ten are recent within the last 7 days, it displays them too.

I wish there were more 86 games on the site, however I'm really excited about where its going now. I just wish programmers would continue to make quality 86 games.

yeah, i agree. but it seems that 83x, 89, 92+ and V200 are the ones that survive and other calcs aren't owned by many and aren't very popular anymore even though you can go on and buy an 86 in most stores. it looks as if TI's going to phase out other calcs in favor of 83+/SE, 89 and V200. sad thing to hear, but we can still distribute programs for those calcs! however, we can only add those if their authors agree.

That's right, TI doesn't give any information anymore about the TI-86 on his website ! That's sad.
