Corridor for the 89Barrett
Good news spoiled 89 owners: Corridor, which was originally only for the 92+, now has a version compatable with the TI-89. You may not have noticed because it is only in the 92+ section of http://www.ticalc.org . Version 2.1 now has an 89 version so i'll stop talking and give you a link. I have played it very much in class and this game is awesome. Demo level 3 gets pretty hard though. The graphics are amazing. I think we'll see an explosion of 1st person games now, Corridor is definately making a great precedent.

It's too bad corridor's development is temporarily stopped b/c the guy is away. I haven't managed to beat level 3 yet. Arena 3D was a bit annoying, and too hard.

Yeah, Arena 3D is a bit annoying. Bots are a bit weird in Arena. It's still a nice game and only FAT game with real multiplayer/bot support. Actually, I didn't get thru level 2 in Corridor (the dark one). Also, I'd like to say that it's sad that author of Battle 89 never worked on his project again. That was a real 3D wireframe FPS. Ehh...

I like corridor but the aiming is kind of off and I got rid of teh game because of that. I think I actually have beat level 3...once.

It's annoying that in many many calculator 3-d games, when you try to hide behind a wall, the cpu can still shoot you. I think it's a problem in the new-ish FPS that was for 83 over the summer, and in arena 3d too.

i think that happens either because of bad collision detection or because of lag or large difference between bullet and player's movement so you still get hit despite it seemed as if you hid yourself behind a wall. that does suck. maybe it got rid of those games for the same reason.

I think it's b/c it takes a lot of code to check for walls in between the wall and you, and it's a pain to do.
