*cough*
as the author of command post, i'm biased... but..

in terms of FLASH APPS, Command Post is easily the among the most technically advanced pieces of software currently available. Sure it doesn't have a flash user interface, but the features found inside are very technically advanced. For instance, how many flash apps do you know of that can dynamically hook and unhook other flash apps? This is a difficult task even when the target app is known in advance.... then we have things like anti-crash protection, leak watching, and other extremely usefull development tools (again, i'm biased here)... but some of my friends who work as consultants for TI (ie write flash apps professionally) have suggested that I try to license command post and sell it in some shape or form because they have used command post extensively while developing apps...

The contest version (which is now extremely outdated fyi) walked a very fine line so as to avoid violating any rules.

Oh, and it is _extremely_ difficult to release a program when TI still has not returned to me a signed freeware copy of command post.

On a side note, I have a private build of Scott's Logo, and it is also a very nice program. Between the two of us, we thought that one of us might get 1st place... and I thought that Scott had me beat simply because his program is a bit more flashy... i can't wait to see David's program... it must be _extremely_ nice.

sorry Greg, I really didn't mean to offend you. i just meant that it was bs that unreleased program won. i have nothing against your program and i'm sure it's very cool (when i finally get to try it). anyways, congrats on getting a 2nd place Greg. this year at least, there was quite a bit of competition.

what are you gonna do with it?

if it's just for convinience, no.

if you're gonna take notes in class, no - too loud (although it is quite quiet, it's still gonna piss people off)

if you're gonna program basic progs, sure, go for it.

B: Basically all three reasons for the keyboard but I don't do very much programming anymore.
Z: As far as I know its allowed at my school, and I don't care if I look like a nerd.

that's cool. it's just cuz in my school teachers didn't even like when you have your calc out when you don't really need it (for class purposes of course).

BTW: you might want to clean up some of the topics that haven't been active for say...about three months. Also you might as well get rid of ones that m ost likely will never be used again, i.e. "Changes to tankers map editor". Just a thought.

Z or B: please go ahead and delete the review I did for my map pack since it has been updated.

okay, i deleted it. actually, it'd be best if someone else reviews your map pack, but if you really feel the need then go ahead and do it. actually, i'll probably end up letting people who reviewed something edit their reviews. but we'll see about that later on.
