Gosh, that's so strange. The whole file database is wiped out. Strange, very strange. Apologies to everyone, we'll try to fix this ASAP.

EDIT: It seems that current situaion is worse than I expected as I haven't gotten a new backup. Right now, I've restored a rather old backup and will try to contact Barrett to see if he has a newer one. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Any clue what happened Z or B.

No. No clue so far. Its strange that db got wiped out because it has a file lock so that it doesn't get overwritten when several people access it at once. I'll overlook the script to see if there's a bug somewhere. Though, it doesn't help much since I don't have a new backup. I'll see if B has a new backup or we'll try to contact our host to see if they have one. Its partially my fault since I didn't back it up, but what good is talking about this at this time?

It's nice to see most things back.
I see there are quite a few files missing still.

Maybe there is a cached version of your site around somewhere.

No, database doesn't get cached. I was hoping that Barrett would have a newer backup but apparently he seem's to be away. I couldn't contatc our host to see if they have a backup since Barrett is doing all the host business. I'll try get get it back though. Oh, there are about 12 or so files missing and a lot of downloads are missing too.

sorry, my internet has been down for like a week or however long.. i made a backup somewhat recently, unfortunately it doesn't reflect our 50,000 downloads... but it's almost there.. maybe we could add a % downloads to each file or something... i know tankers had over 4000.

That's alright, its nice that you had a backup. Strangely enough, I didn't backup our db since we moved onto a new host which is very weird of me. I used to back it up several times a week. Actually, I'll probably implement automatic daily backups as they shouln't take too much storage space. Yes, that missing files is a Song maker for Windows. Check in our uploaded file data list for its description.

dangit, it happened again... Z, we need to move downloads to a new text file, or we could do a "ticket" system, where each script has to wait until the other script is completely finished, then it can go.

Good recovery. Just to be on the safe side I think you guys might want to backup the evry week or two.

SInce it has to deal with numbers I just have to mention this even though it is OT. Todays my 17th birthday. My first present happends to be a Voyage 200. This thing has way too much memory. Just one Q though, How fast doe the 92+ run?

either 10 or 12 MHz

Yeah, having put file locks back again (they got removed probably due to accidential script overwrite) this database problem shouldn't happend again.
ya, 92+ should run at the same speed as a HW2 ti89 which is 12MHz.

Well if you want to call it 12 go ahead. Ti-bench (partially inacurate) says 9.55 for HW1 and 13.6 for HW2 on the 89.

HW1 is 10 MHz, HW2 is 12 MHz

well, why not call 16mb flash cards 17.5 mb? those rounding is not to reflect the most close number but make numbers look more uniform and easier to remember. 12mhz is what ti89 HW2 processor speed is rounded to. its fairly obvious that device doesn't run on exactly 12 mhz as most rating numbes we see on electronics are rounded versions.

So how much memory in the V200 is actulally usable?
13 Feb 2003, 23:17 GMT

50,000 Downloadszkostik
erm...i think its about 1.5 megs or so. not a whole lot more than on 89 because there's that gay memory reserve for flash apps which no one i know uses. i seriously doubt that all this v200 fuss and its ridiculous cost worth all these puny upgrades.
