PHP/ASP...same thing basically. it's not that much easier everywhere. it's a lot easier on you with templates and other stuff like MySQL database. though, we'll need one hellofa work to redo everything. also, its not going to do anything differently then we already have. however, any new stuff we plan to do can be done in PHP. each scripting language is good for certain things, there's no really best one, at least from my own personal experience. you just need to use them correctly.

Hm... Are there any logged statistics as to what browsers are used here? I know the majority is IE (that WAS the result of that poll, right?) anyway... I was just wondering if cross-browser javascript could be used... (the menu at the top doesn't work on my browser (konquorer)
