| New Features Are Up | zkostik | Okay, finally the new features are out and running.
Everything seems to be working. Though, if you find something wrong please let us know so we can take care of that asap.
Current Issues:
When viewing forums under News category, avatars and sigs don't show up. I'm currently working to fix this problem.
**FIXED** Logout time doesn't get updated when you logout. Thus, when you log back in, new post icons will not indicate updated forums in accordance to your actual logout time. This issued is being worked on. Thanks for Barrett for noticing this.

EDIT: Interesting avatar, what is it? Hehe, I guess avatar description field wouldn't hurt. Though, I'd want to finish with current problems first, before I start anything new.

| | | New Features Are Up | zkostik | This is not a bug. I and Barrett decided to only show avatars/sigs in normal forum view to take off unnecessary server load and thus improve loading speed for users with slower connections.
Though, if enough people want this chages, a simple CG skin update will show avatars/sigs everywhere posts are shown...

Why did you guys originally code the site so it reloads every single piece of data everytime you visit it? | | | New Features Are Up | zkostik | Well, cached images will be drwan from cache but since the site is in frames due to its layout, html code will be reloaded (this is what you get when you browse to the site). There's nothing we can do about it except changing the layout design. You can control your cache settings from browser's options, though I've noticed IE cache setting be quite buggy and only gave it a tiny cache size so it pretty much reloads all content.
Again, if people ask to display avatars/sigs along with all posts, we can do it but if people don't care I'd rather only show them on normal forum wiev to reduce unnecessary bandwidth usage.
Btw, the way our avatar size system works, its very easry to add/change sizes and there's just one config line to modify. So basically, if you want a new size and its withing our avatar size limits then you can ask for it to be added. I however would only like to keep widely used avatar sizes, not just some totally random sizes.

Lemme know when you guys have time or if you wanna do that for me and I'll run a server and give you a test link. There are lots of features in the new uploader and it needs some heavy testing. It has almost all the parts added, except file update feature. So far, uploader and file approver work (I think they do...). Anyway, lemme know if you guys are willing to waste some time.

I'm going to have some free time this saturday, so I'll look into that. It may also be the thing that causes avatars/sigs not to draw in News forum.

| | | New Features Are Up | zkostik | Just a small note, I've raised a char limit on Bio to 500 chars as I've been trying hard to cram my info into the field. At the first glance 350 seemed like more than enough, but it actually made me pick words and then I has to go over my bio and get rid of a few sentences to make it fit within the limit. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was slightly bothered by that, so I've decided to change that. Also, if you want you can throw in an image html code in there to show some pic you'd like to appear along with your bio, just make you it has appropriate content.

There are still a few bugs I need to fix, they're not destructive at all, but I still need to work on those. Now, you guys have no excuse not to fill out your profiles! Btw, if you need to, you can put hyperlinks into your sigs, just as long as they open up in a new window (<a href="somewebsite.com" target="_blank">somewebsite</a>).
