Like how google has slightly different iterations for different seasons, eg, they have christmas google word an thanksgiving etc, we should do that with calcgames. Maybe banner could be made to reflect the season?

That would give people somethign new to look at once in a while.

maybe eventually this will be implemented. though, the way site was designed and started this wasn't in mind and thus many things aren't optimized for that. i'll try to rework this in near future and see what i come up with, but no promises. although, i would like to see a different CG too. i do have a skin/style plans though but making all components utilize this may take some time.

Yeah, I know.

Heck, Z, don't sweat it. This site is about calcs, and calcs only! We love the calcs, the site is just a place to hang when we don't want to use the batterys up on our calcs! Ha! Anyways, this site rocks, if I were you, I'd start with avatars.

Perhaps a couple of color themes for registered users would be good, greys can be just too dull. There's nothing wrong with having grey themes, but it doesn't exactly strike the site as being exciting or inviting.

yes, yes, this will be done sometime in future. right now we're finishing up a rather large forum update (see previous topic). i'll work on color themes later on this or next month.

Don't worry about it Z! if you want to do all these updates, spread them out, then it is appreciated more when they come out! I am still happy about the testing ground on the other topic...

Yeah, only problem is that this is going to be hellofa hard to make because the site was not designed with that feature in mind. Well, we all learn on our errors, this was my and B's first (and successful) project afterall. Now we're like a whole (unique?) community. Cool!

I kind of like the current color theme, but I suppose if it really irritates some people and you feel like changing the site, feel free to change it. Although it sounds simple, it can be quite a time consuming task to actually do that.

Actually, the site colors can be changed quite easily with just changing the index generated page. Though, there are also some scripts and the forum which will also need to reflect the change and to make it all work together will require some time. I'll look into this later on when I get some spare time.
