It would be nice if this forum would auto. delete users if they haven't been active in the last 60 days or some thing because 22960 users are reg. and only 79 are active. That means only .3% (aprox.) of all reg. users actully post and i'm willing to bet that a lot of people register, ask a question, get answer and never come back i don't know if they slow the forum down but i know that it has to take up some space on the sever to store all that info... mabey i'm completly wrong :P

This has been purposed and rejected before, mainly because we don't see the use in deleting them since their user records take up less than 5MB of database storage.

Yeah, I alreday asked Z about this. This and just about anything else concerning the amount of disk space CG takes up (mostly out of personal guilt), but it has been brilliantly manufactured to take up as little space as possible, considering the amount of stuff here.

After only 60 days! I hope it would be slightly longer than that. Otherwise you get people who come only 4 times a year, re-registering for times per year.

But not an inherently bad idea, though. :)

Yeah, only good reason for this would be to free up usernames. 60 days is a very short time though, sometimes people go on vacation or don't post for a while and this would remove their accounts. While this feature would be easy to implement there seems to be more cons than pros to it.
