Does anybody know (approximately) how many files there are in the archives here? (Just out of curiosity.)

Hmm...good question. This and Ti-Calc have the biggest calc game/program archive on the web, I know that.

Whoa. 12.5 million hits to the files section. This honestly is quite amazing, as there are only 6.5 billion people in the world. Just by looking at this number, it makes you realize, and wonder, what would happen if the whole of the internet shut down suddenly. It would probably be classified as a global emergency, and so many services and companies would suddenly stop entirely. Yes, we are certainly a people that is dependant on the internet. Let's just hope this never happens.

Edit by L: Who said billion? :)

If the whole internets shut down suddenly people might go outside for a change, and get excercise. That would not do.
