Hey guys, I've recently discovered this nice project website, post title speaks for itself. Very cool stuff and it actually works. Finally Palm users can have some fun (since Quake/Doom were out for PPC for years and years)! All games are FREE!!!

The games can be downloaded from here: http://yoyofr.fr.st/

Anyways, Quake ran quite well on my T|E, I did however have to install UDMH which helps with dynamic memory allocation on lower-end units (can be found here: http://dmitrygr.tk/). For all these games you'll have to find the map packs, if you still have ther original PC or other version, you can just copy of ther pk1 and wad's to your Palm. Anyways, I've had a lot of fun playing these games yesterday when I discovered them.
The above mentioned programming group also has a free emulator that emulates NES/SNES/GB/Genesis/TurboGrafx16/NeoGeoPocket and WonderSwan/WSC. Unfortunately, the emulator only runs on Tapwave Zodiac but since the Tapwave company is dead now they might just port the game to run on a regular Palm. You can go on the website above to see some screenies.

go to menu, LJP, it is compatible with all palms.

PSP version is better tho, it's SNESPSP_TYL http://yoyofr92.free.fr/psp/snespsp.html too lazy to hyperlink it tho. I've found psp is much better for SNES/Genesis than palms. The rest have been optimized to a point that both are pretty quick.

Well ofcourse it is, its much more powerfull and has a dedicated gpu. That would be good if I had one but until my wanted japanese RPGs come out in USA, I doubt I'll invest into a PSP.
When I run LJP it says I need to have a Tapwave device with an OS5. My Palm is an OS5 but not Tapwave. They'll prolly fix this soon anyway since Tapwave went out of business.

Nope, but generally there's an SDK you can get and you can use popular languages such as C++ and a few others. I doubt anyone here actually codes for Palm but if you know some C++ or other OOP language it shouldn't be too hard to get started.
