Total Posts: 1051 | Most ppl today have HW2 calcs but a few of us still have the HW1 calcs that came out in the dinosaur age. They each have there pros and cons. Which is better when everything is considered? |

Total Posts: 2486 | Hard to say. Either one has something of their own. Since most people make programs for HW2, you can probably forget about 7 layer grayscale. That was like the only good thing about HW1.

Total Posts: 260 | I bought a TI-89 this year from Staples and got a HW1. That shows how many of those they sell...
Anyways, as for which is better, HW2 is slightly faster. And has a lovely crystal in the hardware. Plus, you don't need to use maxmem on it, like you do on HW1, to get full use out of the memory.
However, like zkostik said, HW1 has the lovely 7 layer greyscale abilities. |

Total Posts: 1051 | Thats supprising, I thought HW1 were not being produced anymore. One of my freinds got and 89 that was HW2 just a week ago. Only three out of about 10 ppl at my school have HW1. Do you guys think that TI purposly made it impossible for HW2 to do 7 layer gray (actually it is 8 if you count white). I like HW2 but for a lot of progs you have to have hw2patch installed on your calc last time I checked. So I have to say that even though maxmem and hw2patch do different things they kind of cancel each other out. Do you guys know the speed of the 92(+) proc and the Voyage 200 proc? |

Total Posts: 2486 | Yeah, that's like if you're using AMS 2.08 I think coz hw2patch was only updated up to AMS 2.05.

First off I have no one else to plan, then I haven't added my new maps yet, and Mercury is cool, and finally CF rocks. I only get some memory volation errors. Sorry guys but the circumstances have changed. |

Total Posts: 2486 | It's true that lack of updates due to many issue bring the project down. If SP mode was finally finished results would have been better. I myself almost don't have any free time right now and haven't touched my calc for some time.
