i considered posting this under my other 86 thread, but it would have deviated pretty far from the original topic.

anyway, i've tried using three different programs to link my PC to the TI-86 using a silver usb cable. first, TI connect. it doesn't even support the TI-86. then, TiLP. this program might be able to work, but i couldnt figure it out. not very user friendly. and then TI Graph-link, which supports the TI-86 but doesn't seem to support the silver cable. so is it possible to connect with this calc/cable combo? if so, what program should i use? does anyone here know how to use TiLP well? thanks.

Menu>Link:
Cable Type:
CHoose Grey Cable (Windows/Mac)

and make sure that the port is right

that should solve it....

the grey one is the USB one...

TiLP does work with the 86 and USB. You should install the old MFC version instead of the GTK. That one's slightly more easier to use.

allynfolksjr: The "Gray Cable" is a serial cable (Printer size I believe). It is NOT the USB cable. I've tried.
