Throw a fit and curse anyone and everyone you can think of for this terrible misfortune.

Just kidding. I believe that pictures can only carry numbers for their names. Pic9.8xi, for example. But you don't want to change it, because it'd most likely mess up the game. So I really don't know of a way to help you. Sorry.

The only thing I can think of is to try a different linking program to send the files.

there are too many pictures to name them all numbers because it wont let you type in 2 digits because it says the name is too long . how do other people do it then?!

I used the graphlink software. But you may want to only send one group at a time. (They are in groups, if I'm not mistaken. And if I am, hehe...)

USB is not compatible with the graphlink software. Only with TI Connect, and other 3rd party software. So you can try TI connect from the CD you should've gotten with your USB graphlink cable, or you can download it off their site. I, personally, like to use TiLP with the USB graphlink. You can get it from ticalc.org (pub/win/link). I'd suggest installing and using the old MFC version instead of the newer GTK. (It's easier to use.) But whatever floats your boat.

As for ion, it is a shell that is required for those games or programs that say they need it. You need to have this installed on your calculator to run those such programs. However, MirageOS is a whole lot better. (http://www.ticalc.org/pub/83plus/flash/)
