Change the file extension. (And make sure what you're downloading is indeed a game/program.)

The file extension should be .8xp for an 83+ SE, also make sure you've unzipped it. Should download first as a .zip file and then extract to a .8xp file.

If it is an .8xp or .zip file and is running in windows media player, you must have your extensions messed up, try rigth clicking and doing open with and selecting the proper program. Also don't run .8xp files on the computer, just open TI Connect and drag itt o device explorer.

Like spiral said, make sure the program/games file has the extension *.8xp on your computer (if it's 83+/SE). Once it's on the calc, you'll most likely need a shell like Ion or MirageOS to run it. Basic games don't need this. As for being corrupted, it could be. You never know...

extract a file in windows XP by right clicking on the file and pressing extract, make sure you have windows XP installed. Or double click on the file, and find the extract icon.
