Just some things about it:

1) You CAN use a grpahing calculator on the SAT
2) You can't use it on the verbal section-so don't think of making vocabulary programs!!
3) No calculators with keyboards are allowed-that means no Ti89's!

Just something to think about. :)

I used my calc on the SAT, not to brag or anything, but I got a 1520.

Thats flat out wrong. Double check your information next time. It says no calculators with QWERTY keyboards, aka no 92, 92+, or V200, but the 89 is perfectly acceptable.

Few things...
1) Congrats on your score
2) Its bragging when no one asks
3) Standardized tests are not an accurrate measure of overall intelligence.
4) Don't think I'm jealous 'cause I'm not
5) I it seems like it but I'm not always on your case
6) If you post more accurate information I'll "get off your case"

College will be fun and freeing when you have some free time to spare. You'll understand once you get slapped in th eface with a dose of reality. I know I did.

You can use your Ti-89 on the SATs. I did. It does not have the qwerty style keyboard on it.
Voyager 200 and TI-92/92+ on the other hand are not permitted.

And that's a damn nice score. Congrats! Better than mine, but it matters little. I'll still easily get into a college.

I just notice digital covered most of this, sorry.

Digital: Nah, Dig, you're not always on my case. We have our opions. Like your sig- so be it. We different, but as the saying goes-great minds think alike!

I didn't know 89 were allowed. I guess cause they have a keyboard, I thought they were. Oh well.

allynfolksjr: Sorry if I'm posting too much, yeah, maybe I was, I'll cool down.

Billy: Your right, the SAT scores matter little, extracurriculear activies, greades, recommendations, the SAT matters, but theres always the bigger picture!

:)

"I didn't know 89 were allowed. I guess cause they have a keyboard, I thought they were. Oh well."

Are you blind? I said you can use the 89. I did every time I took the test! Also, the 89 does NOT have a keyboard. The ACT is the test you can't use the 89 on because it has a CAS.

Oh, you miscommunication, I meant that "I didn't know 89 were allowed, I guess cause they have a complex "keyboard" I thought that they were not allowed. Oh well."

Sorry, miscommunication. :) BTW, my eyesight IS actually really bad-like 50/20.

I hear you calcfreak! Emoticons actually add a lot to the forum.
Congrats on that score btw, this is a very good score. My score kinda sucked, but I had no problems getting into a college either (I got just a tad over 1200, somehting like 1210 or 1220 i don't remember). My math section sucked, I was always bad with sat math problems even though I did pretty good in my math class. Oh well, I agree with D's statement about sat. i thought 89 wasn't allowed on sat due to its CAS. or well, at least that may depend on a proctor that's giving you the test. i took sat a few times and only once a proctor told people that they can't use 89 so, i pulled out my 83+ while they checked calcs and then i switched it back. :) lol! oh yeah calcfreak, your eyesight is indeed quite bad...that doesn't seem to prevent you from visiting here often and reading every post. hehe

Emoticons rock. What's interesting is that before I joined the calc world, I used to frequent a lot of message boards (Newgrounds.com for example). Now I almost exclusively go to calc-related boards, mostly Maxcoderz. Not to try to draw attention off this site, but maxcodez.com's forum is much more active, you can talk about anything you want, and there's always news about great new 83/+/Silver games. It's really the place the whole 83 community revolves around (besides ticalc.org)
And wow, calcfreak, that is an AWESOME SAT score. I thought mine was good, a 1430.

Ah, I see maxcoderz got their site back up. I remember its been down for quite a long while. They have a good community and they're still active. You can also talk about anything here, though you should consider the audiences that both sites get. We're more of a general calc site for newbies and others. Maxcoders are mostly for calc developers. So there you go, you can go to either site to discuss different things and have fun. :)
Yeah, 1520 is a nearly perfect score.

As long as you have extracurricular activies-your fine Billy. Besides, the SAT has it's problems. Like, every other test, it doesn't always test your knowlegde. It's a creepy test.
