Haysgames is for the 83 Plus, not the 86. Although I may be behind the times... But they were 83+ programmers last I looked.

HaysGames should rather take the time to learn some z80 asm than keep writing all these basic games...

Who said they were for 86? But just because z80 is faster and more poweful, doens't mean that basic is worthless. It's just that the vast majorit of games made in Basic are worthless because they're made by n00bs. N00bs generally don't program asm, so there's a higher quality ratio. But just because a game doesn't have flashy graphics or quick speed doesn't mean it's not good. I mena, if high performance is what games are all about, why play on an 83 at all? Get an 89. Better yet, get a Gameboy Advance. Personally, I would rather play on an SNES than a PS2 any day.

Basic is most useful for coding quick formula programs...which i've only used for distance/midpoint since I'm so lazy. Haysgames aren't n00bs, they've made games for too long, but they still are pretty bad.

Yeah, Halo/Space Commando is something that's been done a hundred times. Me, I try to push the limits of Basic. And I'm moving on to asm after Ender's Game.

yah...i use basic mostly for math...i've dabbled in Asm but it's too long and i really have no intererest...

but like today i made a basic binary->base10 and vice-versa converter in math (it's for a code, xor)...

I think that you should try to be unqiue when making games. Copying Indian Jones doesn't impress as much people as Chinese Art of the Sword. Well, at least it doesn't impress me. :) My 2 cents.
