I got the cable to put new software in, but it was not compatible with my OS, so I had to get a different one. I uninstalled the old TI connect software by deleting the folder.

I got the new TI connect cable and software. When I try to install, a message comes up, saying that a version is already installed. I click uninstall, and then it says that it cant uninstall, because it cant find the uninstll program (because I deleted it, when I removed the folder)...

What can I do!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

Can somebody ZIP their TI connect software (the whole folder), or even just the uninstaller, and email it to mc_nitestryker@yahoo.com ??

I really need help here!!!!!

*Sigh...* That's what the uninstall program is for.

You'll need to get a registry cleaner program (from download.com) to fix it. When you installed the previous version, a key was placed into the registry saying that it was there. When you deleted the folder, the key stayed but the program left. So, unless you want to search your registry for said key, use a reg cleaner program. It'll just go through the registry and compare what's there to what's on your hard drive.

I think that's right... Give it a shot and let us know what happens.

I believe that the program actually needs to be there for it to be removed.

Okay, if he is using XP then what allyn suggested might work, otherwise do what BullFrog said. If you were using OS X, you would have been fine with just deleting the folder. Post back if you still need help.

E-mail ti-cares@ti.com. They've got an .exe file that will remove the TI Connect registry keys and allow you to reinstall it.

Or you could use regedit and remove them yourself.

For a registry cleaner: Registry Mechanic (don't remember where I found it) is great. But you might also want to try the Add/Remove programs option. Go into control panel, add/remove programs, then remove TI-Connect.

Down with the evil TI lords!
