I am trying to play FF TOM but it says insufficient memory and i have nothing else on my calc. And its used for i think the 83. How do I make it so I can play this game, or games similar in size for instance?

Please don't forget to read game readme files. That's why they're there. In anycase, the game has to be transfered onto your calc in parts. Once you're done with one part, the game saves and lets you download the next part. Due to memory and other restrictions you can only have one part at a time on your calc. Please refer to the game readme for more info.

Well, you didn't mention that...
Okay, I've just looked at the readme file (MS Word format) and it was just fine. Dunno, it could be that your version of word is too old or you're trying to open it another app that doesn't read word format. To make things easier for ya, I'm going to post the install notes from the readme here. If you want need a full readme, please post back and I'll give you a converted version...

Minimum Requirements:
150KB of Archive memory (Approx. 70 percent)
24KB of RAM (All of it!)
(Please backup all of your data before installing this game.)
TI-83 plus calculator; Requires Archiving capability!
Must have application software called Finance… to check, turn on your calculator, press the button Apps, and look for the program Finance.
Note: This game was programmed in TI-83 plus version 1.12 with application software Finance. Want a new version? Download’em at www.ti.com/calc for free…

Ideal Requirements (for ultimate game performance):
- TI-83 plus Emulator with speed enhancement and archive capability. Also with Application software Finance included in that ROM.
- TI-83 plus Silver edition!
Note: Didn’t work on VTI emulator because it did not support Archiving capability.

Introduction:
Final Fantasy: Tales of Magic is the biggest RPG game ever to be released on TI. It includes over 100KB of movies, 5 chapters of gaming, challenging bosses, unleash devastating magic spells, awesome graphics in movies and during the game, great storyline (few surprises), and more!

Installing Part1 (On TI-83 plus calculator):
This game requires many steps to install so bear with me, failure to follow these instructions way damage the game!
1) Assuming that you’ve correctly extracted the zip file, execute your Winlink program.
2) Click on “Link” on menu option.
3) Now move your cursor to “Send to”
4) Choose Archive.
5) Within your target box, find your Final Fantasy folder.
6) Within the Final Fantasy folder, double click on Part 1.
7) Highlight all of the files shown in part1 folder.
8 ) Transmit…
9) After transmitting is successfully completed, go to your calculator.
10) Ungroup the file “Tomovie1”.
1) To ungroup, press 2nd, +, up, enter, right, toggle down to TOMOVIE1
11) Follow these steps to watch the movie…
12) After viewing the movie, reset your RAM memory.
13) Ungroup the file “Chapter1”
14) Play the game…
15) After you completed the chapter 1 game, Ungroup the file “Chapter2”.
16) If calculator asks to overwrite, please overwrite all!!!
17) For Part2 installation procedure, please refer to the document included in Part2 folder.
Any question? Contact me at Dbzfreek4u@aol.com

Important!
Unlike other Basic games, this game requires extensive use of Archiving and Unarchiving. When using this function, it slowly degrades calculator’s loading time and an Archive status. To prevent this from happening, you must periodically go to menu while you are in the walking part of the game. Then choose “Garbage Collect” option. This will defragment your Arc memory. It may take some time, so be patient. Failure to do this may cause your calculator to loose programs (non-archived), loosing all of your memory, or even completely destroy your calculator.
