OK, im new to calculater games and have no eperience on like transfering files or anything like that and I wanted to know is there any easyer description to doenload games (apps) to my 84 silver? The directions in the manual are confusing. Also, im afraid of a virus that will mess up my calc. My math teacher told me that you can get a virus that will break your calc completly. Keep in mind that im 12 and my parents bought me this calc cuz it is reqired for my pre-al class. I cant afford to have a $119 get a virus and I have to buy a new one.

THX for the help.

Don't worry about a virus, your teacher is either lying or doesn't know what they're talking about. There are no viruses for the 83/84's. And it is virtually impossible to screw up your calculator, unless you try really hard.

So have fun with your new purchase, I'm sure you'll enjoy the 84.

Oh, here how you can tranfer stuff, Click Here

It should auto-detect the usb connection. If not, then select USB from the little drop down box when program complains about not being able to find your calc. Also, make sure your calc is turned on and at home screen. Also, make sure your version of TI-Connect is the latest one as old version sometimes has problems.
