This morning the Hays Games Company launched head programmer "Macho Man" Mike to the moon, where he will complete the final build of Doorways 2005, which will be the shell that puts MirageOS to shame once and for all.

Wait, you're saying that a BASIC shell will outclass MirageOS?

I hardly think so.

LOL. MirageOS and Ion will hold domination for a long time as far as I am concerned, unless y'all figure out to make asm or flash OS.

It's been five years and you guys are still up to your old antics. How old are you guys anyway? :\

Upon further review...

I've conferred with some people about this sort of thing. I'm not interested in posting the history of Hays here. It's just not necessary. If you're interested enough, fire up your search engine of choice and see what you can find. I'm pretty sure some of the stuff from 1999 is still out there. That's not what this is about.

Quite frankly, posts like this do nothing but cause harm in the community. I know for a fact the developers of MirageOS put a lot of time and effort into developing the application. And I'm sure they wouldn't like having their hard work associated with garbage like this.

If your shell is really the best out there, it should be able to stand on its own merits. You don't need to point out the deficiencies of others if you're any good. I'll let each person form his or her own opinion about the merits of current software released by Hays Games. Also, I might have some more respect for Hays if the upper left corner of their home page wasn't libelous against Bill Nagel. For the record, Nagel did a lot for the TI community and like myself was a member of Ti-Files. He's long gone and doesn't deserve his name associated with garbage like this either.

Hays, whoever is posting this stuff, I can't tell you not to release your software. I'm not going to tell you that you can't promote it on its merits. If you do a good job and put hard work and effort into developing your own work, I have no problem with that. However, I have zero tolerance for bashing other members of the community who put lots of time and effort into their work and have really contributed something to TI calculators.

Consider this discussion closed. I'll do the same in the future if I see this again.
