The newest, by far best version of pheonix ever has been submitted to calcgames. It is called Phoenix Z, made by Patrick Davidson himself! It features drastically better graphics, different background colors, and 5 different speed and difficulty levels! It is the next generation of pheonix for the 83+/84+! Be the first one to download this ultimate game on CG!

colors? You mean grayscale? This isn't too exciting to me. I have Platinum Pheonix on my 89. That is pretty much the same thing.

But yeah, I'll check it out.

Did you submit it for him?

Not grayscale, but you can choose if you want the background to be black or white (Black is really cool). It has the same feeling as on the 92+, but not as wide of a screen. (I use parenthases way to much)

Wow, that was the fastest time between the uplaod of a file and putting it on the site ive ever seen. I submitted it, and about 3 hours later, it was on the site, cool!

If it's made by Patrick Davidson himself, why is Neils F one of the credited authors? This sounds more like a mod of phoenix based on the source code (which is ok if the license terms are followed), but if it is, you shouldn't say this is made by Patrick Davidson (sounds like he wrote the whole thing and this is an update from him, instead of just most of it). And also it's spelt Phoenix, not pheonix.

Darn it! I've been spelling it wrong for some time, I guess.

I noticed that too, I don't not deserve the credit for making the game, so one of the admins should take my name out of the authors section. Thank you!

And according to the readme, the mod was by Andy Kay.

Thanks Barret, I don't feel "guilty" (not the best word for that) anymore!

It looks like I can process files about every 2 days. The system isn't that great, but it works. You caught me at a good time. :-)

Well, if it's a phoenix mod, it should be clearly labeled as such, rather than a new update from Patrick Davidson. But the modder should still get some credit (apparently that wasn't you, w/e)

As long as it works it is not a necessity, so don't waste the precious time you have off. However, If you want to make it better, I'm definitely not apposed :-)
