I have a bunch of stuff i want to protect, but I don't know how to. Mirage won't work, because someone could just unlock it with it, and everyone has it. I also can't use TI-Graph link, because I don't have it or want it. Is there any other way? Thanks in advance for the help!

If its a BASIC program there is no way for you to truly protect it. People that choose to use the TI-Graph Link software can just load your program with no problem. The only way I could think about it would be to use BasicBuilder and make it an APP. The problem is that I won't add any files converted to BasicBuilder without the orginal .8xp files. The author requests that you do this. So ultimately the only way is to write in ASM, and even then there are some compilers that can decompress it.

Short of converting it to ASM and not releasing the source code, no, you can't protect them.

Edit
There must be some way of doing that... uncompiling...
I just made up a word. :)

yeah, it's called disassembling.

and it makes a complete mess of any code, it takes a lot of experience to be able to read disassembled code. That still wouldn't protect the program from being copied between calculators though.

Yeah, I have to put these screws in, but I don't have a screwdriver and I refuse to get one.

well locking it via MirageOS and via TI-Graphlink does the same thing (and are undone the same way and quite easily). So neither of those will help you.

Ummm, I assume your trying to copy protect something and distribute it, but if you want to copy protect something on your calc so no one can open and use it without your knowledge try Krolypto.....It can encrypt amd decrypt using three different algorithms based on a key that you can enter in yourself. It also has a pretty good password protection and couple of other redeemable features ;-)
