Is there an way to easily fix a busted LCD line?

HOLY #@$%!!!!! I turned my calc off and then on, and the busted LCD line wasn't busted anyone! What the heck??????? Ive had it for a week since I got got it from ebay, and it has always had that busted line...until now!!! :eek_a:

How was it busted? You know if you take out all four of the alkaline batteries and let it sit for about 5 minutes it drains power from the LCD, which in turn resets the LCD's RAM to it's defaults. Just in case it shows up again.

When I first took it out of the package, one line was gone.

You mean it physically waws missing like the 64th line of display, or it was there, but it just wasn't working at all? This sounds very odd.

If the lcd line you're talking about is that flat ribbon cable, then its fixable but not easily. If its the lcd itself, not likely.
