ugh... theres wolfenstein83, thats pretty good...

Halo1 for calc would be hard enough... Halo2 would be almost impossible... so many weapons and vehicles... then again, with the new usb8x stuff, it might be possible to do it... since you could put it on a 1gb flash card...

It's not a question of space as much as it is processing power.

true... but just the same... you can make a 3d game, but it would be a heck of a hard task to get it to run... perhaps if you never had more than 5 enemies on screen at a time...

Even a basic 3d game generally chokes a calc, you could probably pull off something 3d gamish with wireframe only but chances are it will still not be very playable. You gotta remember that 3d games need lots more than just terrain, they'll need weapon/actor system, collision, ai, engine will need to have a decent culling methods and all that. Space dementia for the 89 pretty much pushed its 3d capabilities and even if optimized more will probably not even reach anything even comparable to Quake1 (maybe in wireframe only and w/t AI something like that would be possible).

maybe not even like in first person. Maybe like a side screen type of thing. You can put just two weapons, a couple of levels, Some flood and elites, and a worthog and that be great. But i dont know any of this tech stuff so...

did JC just change his icon again in the past 5 minutse? anyways....Halo 2 would just be awesome...but I think you need like a super calculator and a super programmer....but thena gain it could be possible...who knows. Doom is pretty god. I never played wolfstien er wutever it's called. OH wait i have, it was really confusigng to me so i just got rid of it. I think i kept dying....but o well. Yeah, those are your closest bets to Halo. Then theres Metroid. Did that ever come out?

Metroid is still in the works. Bcherry had to go to a summer camp, so his work was delayed.

Yes, I did change my icon within 5 minutes... I was testing "The Avatar That Almost Was" and then I realized it was too fuzzy so I got this one that's kinda supposed to be a cat-girl like Z's except it doesn't look like it.

I would make a 2D sidescrolling shooter, but I wouldn't call it Halo. I don't really like Halo.

I like Halo, but not because of the gameplay... i think the plot is really kinda cool though...

hmm... i wonder... we should try to contact the guy who made the raycasting engine, see what he knows about the matter... Peter Bucher was his name i believe...

Both Arena3d and Space Dementia II do a good job with 3d, IMO.

If you think about it... you could do a 3D wireframeness thing... all you'd have to do is mask the wires behind the "closer" ones... and try not to have all that much stuff on the screen... but still it'd push even the 89TE or v200 to it's limits...

i wus thinking about doing a 3D wireframe for Basic. It kinda worked...but i can only move one space foward right now and it's really really slow.
