ill just be doing something on my calc, a game or prgram or something, and then all of a sudden "RAM CLEARED" comes up and it deletes all this stuff. wh does that happen and is there a way to prevenmt it from happening?

just randomly? it shouldnt do it randomly. you have to do something to cause a RAM reset to occur... are you running a game you downloaded from the internet?

Garbage collecting is when the calc is cleaning junk out, usually happens when a program is using RAM and/or ROM extensively, or when a user decides it is needed.

Garbage Collection is the process of actually clearing unused archive memory so it can be used again. You should ALWAYS answer yes, otherwise you will be unable to archive anything until you do.

More specifically, when you unarchive a variable and move it to the RAM, the lazy calculator copies the variable from the archive to the RAM, but never clears out the previously used archive memory. Garbage collecting clears out all that "garbage" space.

I had that problem, I got rid of all the apps on my calc and the problem went away...

well it hasent happend recently, the RAM Cleared, but when it happens again ill say what it is doing
