I was having this problem when transferring files from a Mac to my TI-83Plus.The first problem I actually had was TI Connect X would give an error when sending files, I fixed this by downloading the newest OS from here. After sending it using TI Device Explorer (the upgrading tool included in TI Connect X kept crashing), my problem was still not fixed. However, I figured out that group files that got sent would show up in Mirage OS, thus, I made a new group file in TI Data Editor copied Mario and Nagel into it, and send the file.If the Nagel file does not copy into TI Data Editor, open it with TextEdit and change the TI-82 at the beginning to TI-83, save it, and then try adding it to TI Data Editor. If you're confused as to how to add a file into a group, simply create a new group and drag the .8xp file from Finder. After sending the group file (and ensuring both files were sent, as one file may not send due to insufficient RAM), I opened Mirage and voila! :)I was able to play Mario.

Edit
This problem has come up SO many times. Isn't it in the FAQ?

well I went through this site and the MirageOS forum looking for a solution but could not find one. In fact, there are some posts, regarding this topic, on this forum which are unanswered.

That's actually deliberate. You have to be worthy to play Mario.

Yeah, apparently we don't have any Mac guys who can help out and write up a good FAQ on that...

It isn't a Mac problem, it's a Nagel.8xp problem.

I don't think it's a NAGEL.8xp problem since when the game file is transferred in a group file (even without the NAGEL.8xp file) it will show up in MirageOS.
