1. I think Mac software for the TI-Connect can shoot vids of your calc
2. YOu could use a calc - emulator then record the emulator
3. You could take screenshots of your calc on every screen you want then use Easy GIF Animator to put them all together in one gif file
I think thats all i use option 3 for all my screen shots of programs i upload to calcgames

Total Posts: 542 | ok, heres my question. i use the ti 84+SE. there are almost NO emulators for it, because there are no programs to copy the ROM yet, or at least that i can do with out 600 step processes... anyways... is there a way to get animated sceer shots for the ti84+SE? cuz it would be cool to show all of you Protoss b4 you dl it.
edit: yeah, i dl'ed that prgm that 4ce_labs's link sent me to, but i need a copy of my 84's rom.... help?

PindurTI is the best emulator. Hitting tab begins the animated screenshot. If you are a wimp and need a skin so you can click the buttons instead of memorizing 4 keys, you can use the skin included in Brass on maxcoderz.org.
Liebe ist Krieg: Use an 83+ rom on PindurTI. It works exactly the same, except a bit slower.

anyways.. i dont have a ti83, only a ti84. and its illegal to use someone elses ROM, so im stuck. and yes, i did go to ticalc.org. the only thing they have to copy the rom of a ti84 doesnt work. i tryd it MANY times, and the thing wont work. what'ev
edit: ok, i figured out what i was doing wrong, and now i have a rom image of my ti84+SE. and i have calc capture, but now i need an emulator. which one supports 84+SE?
edit2: i finally found out how to use TI debugger saved files with that pindur prgm. its cool, and i can acually record imgs. i can only use the 83+ files, cuz pindur wont support 83+SE. its slow, but the animations work. i still need an emulator for my 84 thou....

Total Posts: 542 | the emulator tilem has a, well not exactly, confussing readme. its just that 1.its bunched together and hard to depickd sentences
2.you have to dl OTHER files not included in the zip folder (that would be like me making my starcraft game and then telling you at the end of the readme:"oh, and yeah, your gonna need xLib, which you'll have to download yourself. good luck finding the rite version that you need")(which i'll never do. its wrong and a bad trick to play)
3.one of the websites that i need a file from is down. so... where else do i get the file i need, huh?
those are the basic reasons y it needs a better readme. or atleast updated.

Total Posts: 714 | Ok found a really easy way. Forget all this elumulator crap. all you need is two prgms. TI-83 Flash Debugger, and Snagit. What you do is run the debugger and use snagit to capture the region of the screen. Even though it is an AVI file it still works for what I wanted.
If you dont have snagit then use HyCam2

Total Posts: 692 | TiLem is actually quite good, don't trash it if you've never used it.
Once you have the ROM image, I can send you an e-mail about how to install TiLem. It's got very detailed, step-by-step instructions that I wrote myself that helped another member here install it. |

Total Posts: 542 | Yeah, he helped me. once ryan explains it to you, it makes it all clear. but... the only truble you may have is with that ROM image.... you're gonna need that. and DONT forget uploading the OS into the RAM once you start the TilEm. it's actually very useful. i'll let ryan tell the rest.
