I am using a ti-89 Titanium. It has on the key layout a button for a square root, but nothing that signifies a key for cubed roots, or forthed roots(or however you say that) ect. I have looked through the manual, no help, and the catalog of commands in the calculator, once again no help. On a Ti-83+ there is a key for cubed roots ect. but none on a ti-89. I was just wondering if it is there and I am blind, if there is a series of keys to push to get the same result, or if Texas Instruments just forgot.

Edit
It's in there... you just have to think a little. ;)

8^(1/3) is the same as the cubed root of 8.

Alternatively, you could use the cube root token. Look in the last part of the on-calc catalog. And if that doesn't work, use X^(1/3)

there's also the x-root function in the math menu, which follows the syntax: x{}(n), where x is the root you want to take, n is the number you want to frind the root of, and the curly braces represent the symbol itself. But yeah, it's easier to just say n^(1/x).
