Or maybe not.

It should be noted that there are several inaccuracies in the comic. Points to anyone who finds them.

3D Curveball Released

3D Curveball version 1.93 is now available for Android. The adaptor driver is called Blue8x.

Is that a chameleon calculator? No, just a TI-83+ running on TI-73 hardware.

Brandon Wilson released today a utility called Chameleon which allows a user to run a TI-83+ Operating System on a TI-73. This effectively turns the TI-73 into a 83+. They essentially have the same hardware, and using tools one can easily modify the 83+ OS to work on the 73.

The process is not particularly easy, but the instructions are straightforward and quite clear. Just a note that unless you also own a TI-83+, this probably isn't legal to do.

Unscheduled Server Downtime

Over the past few days you might have had difficulty accessing calcg.org and other associated domains. We had multiple drive failures and were forced to reinstall from backups on two different occasions within a 24 hour period. The raid controller was shifted to a new scheme to avoid the error-throwing drives, and we should have the problem under control. We apologize for any inconvenience you might have had. On a positive note, the server was upgraded to Fedora x86_64 from running 32-bit previously. Be sure to thank Barrett for making multiple trips to the datacenter over the past few days trying to get this straightened out.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us on IRC.

TI-84+ as a flash drive: install programs with drag and drop.

BrandonW claims to have created a replacement for TI-Connect, and has provided a screenshot showing his TI-84+ connected to his computer. This is nothing new, until you realize that it shows up as a flash drive. Everything is handled on-calculator, with no PC component besides reading the emulated USB drive. The key is a program ran on your 84+ that does the emulation for you. What does this mean? You can send files by simply dragging and dropping without going through TI-Connect. In fact, this could spell the end of the reign of terror TI-Connect has brought upon us for so many years.

He plans to release a beta within 24 hours.

Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny released!

Ranman, hosted at TI-Freakware has officially released Ultima V after 4 long years of development.
