We had multiple drive failures and were forced to reinstall from backups on two different occasions within a 24 hour period. The raid controller was shifted to a new scheme to avoid the error-throwing drives, and we should have the problem under control. We apologize for any inconvenience you might have had. On a positive note, the server was upgraded to Fedora x86_64 from running 32-bit previously. Be sure to thank Barrett for making multiple trips to the datacenter over the past few days trying to get this straightened out.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us on IRC.

TI-84+ as a flash drive: install programs with drag and drop.

BrandonW claims to have created a replacement for TI-Connect, and has provided a screenshot showing his TI-84+ connected to his computer. This is nothing new, until you realize that it shows up as a flash drive. Everything is handled on-calculator, with no PC component besides reading the emulated USB drive. The key is a program ran on your 84+ that does the emulation for you. What does this mean? You can send files by simply dragging and dropping without going through TI-Connect. In fact, this could spell the end of the reign of terror TI-Connect has brought upon us for so many years.

He plans to release a beta within 24 hours.

Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny released!

Ranman, hosted at TI-Freakware has officially released Ultima V after 4 long years of development. Ultima V is a massive non-linear RPG with an expected 400 hours of game play. This game was first introduced back in 1987 for the Apple II, and later the next year for the PC and commodore 64. Now it has graced our TI-89's and TI-89 ti's. You can find the game here.

Expect versions for the 92+ and Voyage 200 in the near future.

File Upload Errors

Hello All-
Due to an undetected error in the file upload form, it is highly likely that your submitted file will claim that the upload was a success while in fact it was failing silently.

I can't comment on the particularities of the issue due to security concerns, but if you have uploaded a file since September 15th, 2007, and it was not accepted while claiming to be uploaded successfully, chances are that you have been affected by this error.

If your file has not appeared since the aforementioned date, please resubmit it.

Thanks for your understanding!

Third-Party 84+ OS Receiver over USB

Panic situation: You just bought a TI-84+, and really want to check out that awesome third-party PongOS for your calculator. There's only one problem, the little issue of requiring a graphlink (I/O) cable that are becoming increasingly rare to find.

The solution? Brandon Wilson has just released his most recent breakthrough, and it's called UnivOS. UnivOS is an OS receiver that uses the USB cable that came with your calculator, and allows the transmission of an unsigned third-party operating system.

New Archive Organization

We have just updated the structure of the file archives on the server. If all went to plan, you shouldn't see any difference at all. On the server itself, we moved all files to a more predictable and organized way in order to make things easier on all of us, and to prepare for some new features that we will be implementing in the near future.

If any file download links do not work, please let us know here. Thank you.

Unscheduled Maintenance

The server was down for roughly 20 minutes today for some unscheduled maintenance. Until things update throughout the internet, it is possible that you will be forwarded to CalcG.com.

If anything does not work correctly, please make a reply in this thread.

This will be our server for a long time to come, so you shouldn't expect to see any moves for at least a few years. I have posted a reply to this thread with the hardware specifications of the server.

Calc.org back again?

calc.org has once again refused to die a peaceful death and is back in an extremely simple form with another plea from Ben Trettel for more developers. The newsworthy aspect of this is that the archive is now back on calc.org in a rudimentary way. Check it out if you're nostalgic for some TI-83 action.

Calc.org tutorials reposted

Some may remember a while back when calc.org attempted to make a come back to the TI community. A call was put out for programmers to help in its restoration. Sadly, hardly any help was found, and it was decided to officially let the site die, and be left to stay in the web archives. It was also decided, that all the original tutorials and download archives were to be given out, so they could once again be made to the public. CalcGames recieved the file archives, and TI-Freakware recieved the tutorials.

Now all the tutorials that were given to me have been (finally) posted! These tutorials covered many calculators, in both asm and basic. To check out these reposted tutorials, visit the Calc.org Master Index here.
