So I have a TI-84+ SE, and wanted to get games for it. I looked around and saw that there are two types, Assembly and Basic, and you can Assembly ones with shells like MirageOS, and Ion.

I learned how to use the cable to connect the calculator to my computer and everything. I really wanted Mario (and other games) so instead of just transferring Basic games, I downloaded MirageOS and got that onto my calculator successfully.

Now, using the site "ticalc.org" I went into the archives of game files. I went under 'Mirage OS' and installed a few games, like Nibbles and Phoenix.
All worked well!

Then I saw that MirageOS should be compatible with any games written for Ion. So I tried a couple of games from the "Ion Games" section in the ticalc.org Archives. None of them showed up in MirageOS. They WERE on the calculator though, they showed up as archived with the * next to them in Programs. Like *GameName.
But they were NOT showing up at all in Mirage OS. I tried a few different games, all didn't show up in MirageOS.

Then I tried Mario, using this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE8XEpXwkgg (The downloads are under 'more info') The program MARIO showed up in Mirage OS. I hit enter to go to it. The screen was...warped... It seemed sidways, and graphics were stair-stepped. And then I put the level 1 on there, and the level was not found, but it was in the programs section. The levels screen was equally warped.
It was in the archive not ram.

So I explained my problem, and I have two questions:

Why aren't the Ion Games showing up in MirageOS?

Why is Mario not working properly?

And most importantly, how can I fix this?

My calculator is the ti-84+ Silver Edition.

ETA: I tried the Mario v2.0 and put in the level pack one from this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-LAkTP4G2E

'Mario' again showed up in MirageOS, but this time, when I hit the Enter key it just refreshed the MirageOS page.
All help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for any help

To fix the graphics issue, look here.

As for the Ion/Mirage issue, I can't really think of a reason the games don't show up (and it's late >_>), so hopefully someone else can help you with that.

ALCD fix worked brilliantly! Thank you ! :) For Mariov1.2, that is, and thats fine by me :)

And the Ion problem, miraculously was solved! Maybe it had something to do with the lcd display (though i can't see how that is possible...)

Thanks for all help!

The Ion/Mirage problem is simple: in these games(while they are on your computer), you will typically see two files with the same name. One is for Mirage only, one is for ION only. To use it, right-click one and check its size(on your computer, mind you, under teh 'properties' option), do the same for the other. The larger one is for Mirage.
