was wondering how can i edit archive programs without unarchive it?

previously before i reset my TI-84+SE and upgrade to OS 2.41, i was able to edit archive without unarchive it. now i got to unarchive it before to view it. any idea how to solve this problem?

by the way where do i find a program that loads all the preload programs to my TI-84+SE? didn't do any backups before i reset it

now i also realize i can't save applications in my home memory. why?

pls help me out... exams in a wk time =(

Uhm... That had to have been a glitch (the editing archived programs). There is none. I could however upload them on this site or I could email them to you. I kept all of mine on my computer. If you give me your email adress I could email you the entire thing. Which compression format do you wish for it to be in. .7z, .zip, .rar, .tar ? Which one so I can give it to you.

That is not possible to do it. Not sure how you managed to do it in the first place. It is because of the memory system the 83+ line uses. You have to unarchive programs before editing. That is the way it has been since the 83+ graced the market.

Applications reside in Archive, and are run from Archive memory. They cannot be saved to RAM.

Why would you WANT to put your applications in RAM? Most resets, RAM resets, delete everything in RAM. In Archive, your apps are safe.

Hey. This is my first post here! :)

I know you posted a while ago, lazylilsnoop, but I thought I'd answer your question anyway, in case you check back here at some point. There is no way to edit an archived program using only TI-OS. But, my application CalcUtil (available on unitedti.org and ticalc.org) will allow you to edit archived programs.
