Here's my problem. The only calculator I own is a TI-84+ SE. Unfortunately, this is not compatible with any emulators at this time. I need to get moving screenshots for some of my files.

I see two options:

A: Someone "illegally" sends me a ROM for an 83+, standard edition.

B: I send someone files I need screenshots for and detailed descriptions of where to capture the shots, then hope they send the pix back to me.

At this time, A: seems to be the better option.

Sooo...anyone up for it?

I saw roms on google. Why can't you just use FlashDebugger and CalcCapture?

Umm, dude, you can get CalcCapture to see ANYTHING that is being run on the task bar. Where the dropdown menu is listed, there should be a button, Configure I think, and then you simply set up a new set up.

Heck, you can even set up CalcCapture to capture you writing text in notepad...

ZOMG. I have a GBA emulator myself. It can capture its own video in .avi, but that idea is cool! Can it capture from stuff like WoW, too? I ask because FRAPS is evil, and freeware equivalents, e.g. TAKSI, suck.

As far as I know, ANYTHING that shows up on the taskbar, will be available to be captured. Just play around with it and see for yourself.

LOL. You're right. I even captured Falling Sand on CalcCapture. Imperfectly, of course; the stupid color retoucher couldn't tell the difference from black and dark grey.

OK. I installed GTK, but TILem.tar.bz2 is not a correct file type yet.

Edit: Oh, it's because it's a linux version, or something. Um...where's the Windows version? I can't find it with Google.

That's the first emulator I tried. I couldn't get the emulated calculator to turn on. It appears not to be fully compatible with the 84+.

Ah. I DL'd .973.

Edit: Gee, thanks. Now I have a whole folder and several subfolders of files I cannot use nor get any sense on how to use from the readme. Since this is even worse hell than VTI was, I'm just going to give up on my dream of having animated screenshots for my stuff.

Double Edit: Yay! I randomly googled for roms and actually found a working TI-83+ one! RAISE DA ROOF!

Yeah vti isn't compatible with the ti-84 family but there is another beta type vti program on ticalc.org that looks like it may have beter compatiblilty with some calculators but it doesn't look like they have the ti-84's in the program yet.

And even then, I can't *officially* close topics.

But I can delete all posts in the topic... ^_^

Well, can't I stop topics that aren't needed anymore if I created them and they're in my own forum?

Edit, several days later: I thought as much.

Double edit: Yay! Topic-locking mod power!
