Edit | You've indubitally noticed my brand-new pixelated sprite avatar that I made from a Kingdom Hearts custom sprite of that... kid... I forget his name, the one that you race against at the begining of the game and he turns evil. Anyways, the edited version is the hero of my recently started novel, named... LightWing! (That's where I kept getting the name for all sorts of stuff.) Actually, its just me, but with wings and the power of wind. It also includes shapeshifting abilites. The wings can grow, too, but normally, they are small so they don't get in the way. LightWing has to quickly put together a pre-chosen team of holy warriors to rid the earth of the oncoming demon invasion of the earth. But it isn't as simple as it seems, as personal feelings about teammates and separate goals in life threaten to complicate things. Even worse, is the fact that destiny still has a cruel trick or two to play on LightWing... and his goal to earn his way into heaven seems to be growing farther and farther away.
I also planned two sequels, which follow LightWing's adventures after the invasion, when things spiral out of control when he fulfills a promise made to a close friend that could lead the world into a pre-mature, all-out holy war. When he tries to intervein, he discovers a sinister plot that takes him into the depths of the netherworld, leading to a dramatic fight with the most evil force in existance. The outcome doesn't help at all, and only a divine intervention can save the world from utter destruction.
This is NOT a novel about the book of Revelations. It is NOT a coming of age novel. It is a story about dedication and human flaws, and about doing the best with what you have.
The other members of the team include my best friend (Water, "Alan" Thomas) who simply wants to figure out what it is all for, a beautiful Asian girl (Earth, I still need a japanese-ish name) who constantly loses all hope, and a prostitute (Fire, April Valentine) who wishes to exact revenge on the brutal death of her parents (which LightWing disapproves of greatly). Edit | Book. My friend is making an RPG for a sequel because he loves to tie in stuff and so do I. Maybe if I actually type it up I'll post a few chapters. :) |
