Now the boxes have 1 pixel borders... looks better in my opinion...

also now the ads are a bit different... Less annoying... there are also square ads for the pages that have side sections (home page and user pages), and the placement is different on the forum, and other places.

Ok, Fixed some bugs.

(only for those of us who can delete comments, that is...)

Now it fixes the last comment time and the topics will delete themselves if there are no more comments in them.

One day I will make it so you can also delete the topics and all the comments in them all at once.

Ok, now the forum works with the old site colors (if you come from the other site in this special link I made in the other forum)... the only real problem I see is the color of the star doesn't blend too well.

I've made some progress on the moderator stuff... now board managers (which for right now are only the administrators) can add and remove moderators from specific forums... although, the moderators still can't do anything special.

I _really_ don't like how everything is different, and I can't use my old handle on the forums. I want to make a theme that matches the style of the olden forums too ><

CDI_Programming: if you want, send me a personal message telling me that you want, and I'll go into the database and change your email address to something else, then you'll be able to create another account using your same email address.

Nearly all accounts were transferred. The ones that weren't were either already here, or there was an account already here with the same email address, or the username didn't follow the rules (more than 3 characters, less than 25, numbers, letters, underscores only).

In time it will use more of the features of the new site. (such as the new file pages, etc..)

Ok.
On calcgames.org, the only way to get to the new file pages is from the sidebar; anywhere else uses the old file pages. Also, the author list pages are blank.

The five buttons on top (Games, programs, etc.) used to have sub-menus when you rolled over them with the mouse, but now they don't. Can you try to bring that back?

The new site is too bright and airy. I think people will actually find it inviting, as opposed to the dark, brooding cave of despair that cg actually is.

Personaly I don't like the bright skin. Nothin agianst who ever made it. I just dont like bright skins.

And I think what L is trying to say is that the new skin misleads veiwers into joining something that its really not. Now that sounds like fun.

EDIT: When did the edit buttion become blue??

Ok, there are now file statistics. It will only display the top 50.

I still haven't made the "sort by rating" or "sort by downloads per day," but I will do that some time soon.

Edit: If you don't like the bright skin, you can go into your preferences and change your skin to "CG External"... there isn't a logo for it, but it's the skin used for pages from CalcGames.org.

Ok, I made a few adjustments on file pages and multiple file view pages... mostly with categories and stuff...

But a bigger change is that now there are 4 levels of organization.

Platform (ti-82, etc...)
Language (assembly, etc...)
Type (game, level, etc...)
Sub Category (RPG, Tankers (for levels), Math (for programs), etc...)

YAY!

There were some really crappy reviews out there.

Although, you should make author reviews float; otherwise, they'll probably be voted into oblivion.

Do you mean reviews by the author of a specific file?

Those are actually against the guidelines. There are, however, several reviews by the respective authors. I know of 2 or 3 that I have left since they did a good job. I usually delete them, though.

In addition (I know this is double posting but nobody appears to be reading this thread anymore) the Classic skin on design.calcgames.org is glitched up. Instead of light blue, certain frames in the forums and the new topic lines are grey.

That's weird. I was doing the same thing, only after about a week or so the light blue boxes in the topics and the "new topic" banners became grey instead of light blue.
